Australia Tax Refund Calculator
74I have already tackled australian tax refunds for working holidaymakers, and this one is about how you get you taxes calculated online.
Currently, most taxback agencies offer free estimation, but not without submitting your personal details and getting a couple of sales calls later. Lots or harassment to go through, huh?
One way to go is use the ATO calculator, but that takes hell-of-a-lot of time to go through. So here is a tiny one that I recently developed for Taxback.com (but never really used):

Can't get more simple than that. What it does is take the official tax rates for the tax year ending June 2009, and calculate your tax refund based on your total wages and tax.
Please note the calculator does not inculde any allowances you may be entitled to. If you want to make sure you get the maximum refund, talk to a working holiday tax agency.
Superannuation refunds are based on 9% of your total wages, less 30% tax. That is not necessarily accurate; if you worked before 2009 tax year, you can reclaim that super too. (That is if you leave Australia permanently)
